Playing at home vs top of the ladder Scarborough and broadcast on Community Sports Facebook we were batting first with Ayesh making a positive start at the top of the order but we lost several early wickets to find ourselves on the back foot at 4 for not many. A partnership steadily built between Tim and Rids through drinks and accelerating the scoring rate, Paul Ridley making an authorative 65 and Tim 47, then finished off by Hutch (25) and Toby smashing 22* from 11 balls to finish the 40 overs at 7 for 203. With that total we back our bowling attack to apply pressure early and they did, removing Scarborough's dangerous top order for little trouble making the already large total seem impossible (Zac 3 for 22). After the openers our bowlers continued to turn the screws, Dilshan and Rids both bowling their overs in misely fashion - Dilshan 2 for 11 from his 8, Rids 3 for 13. Casey Robertson stepping up at the end to take the last wicket as Scarborough were dismissed for 66 in the 29th over.

In a scorching away game against Glenn Forrest, we took to the field first under the blazing sun. Our bowlers delivered some top-notch performances, with Tom leading the charge, bowling a tight spell of 8 overs for 25 runs and grabbing 2 crucial wickets. Joe, Corey, and Craig each added a wicket to their name, while Kade's impressive bowling unfortunately didn't yield a wicket. We managed to hold Glenn Forrest to a score of 170.   When it was our turn to bat, Preetham's steady 32, complemented by Tom's resilient 32, Navi's quick 28 off 20 balls, and Ryan's solid 40 off 44 balls, guided us toward victory. The team displayed determination and skill as we successfully chased down the target in the 35th over, securing our third consecutive win. Which should take us to third on the ladder, when Glenn Forrest press the finish game button on their iPad, come on guys…do it, it’s one button…go on!

Carlisle won the toss and elected to bat. Demons had just seven fielders to start with. Saeed and Raza the spin wizards shared the new ball. Carlisle openers were unable to get going and eventually the openers succumbed to Saeeds off spin. At the half way mark Carlisle were 70 for 1. Siraj struck twice immediately after the break; Soba taking two outstanding running catches. The lower order had no answers to Shirafs pace who ended up with 3 scalps. Chasing 152 Demons new opening combination Shameel and Nushkhan started well and accelerated brilliantly, Nushkhan hitting two magnificent sixes and as usual Shameel was striking elegantly. Both putting on a century opening stand, with the heat soaring both got out playing tired shots. Shameel made 60 and Nushkhan made 54, three more quick wickets and Carlisle were getting excited. Nuski and Irshad played sensibly to see the Demons through with Irshad carving the winning runs. Demons winning by 4 wickets with 10 overs to spare. Another awesome team effort.

This week we played Bayswater postals at home. We lost the toss and had to bowl first. Thanks to some great new ball bowling from Pubudu and Olly we kept the runs low and took regular wickets! Pops and Liam Kay continued to keep the pressure on and some good fielding from the team kept the opposition to 4/50 at drinks. Unfortunately our good fielding went downhill after drinks and we dropped multiple chances along with some poor fielding let the other team get to 149 which probably should have been restricted to under 100. This week was our best bowling performance by a lot and the team can feel really proud. So chasing 150 got off to a slow start with a 2 quick wickets falling and putting pressure on our batting lineup. In came Ashton Kay to help Shaun Burress and they put on a 100 run partnership to take the game away form the other team. The 2 batted superbly and didn’t give a chance and were helped but Bayswater bowling 35 extras which meant they never were under pressure to score. We managed to pass the score with 4 overs to spare. So our best batsmen were clearly S.Burress(66) and A.Kay(35*) This is a great result for our team and hopefully gives us some confidence to continue to play well and get good results.

I Grade played Glen Forrest at Parkerville. We lost the toss and fielded first. Glen Forrest batted steadily but were restricted by tight bowling and great catching. After 40 overs they were 7 for 125. Calum, Brian, Yagan, Chris, Mahesh and George all bowled well. Yagan, Mahesh and George were the leading wicket takers with 2 wickets each. In reply Dianella struggled to score against some clever bowling and were dismissed for 96. A last wicket 56 run partnership between Patto (26no) and Mahesh (15) gave a glimmer of hope.
